Vacation Purchase - Lifesaver

I discovered this amazing device at a Marriott in San Francisco and it made a huge difference in my sleep quality, especially since I'm used to sleeping with a noisy AC. I immediately bought the same machine after staying in a quiet room during another vacation. It's a lifesaver and creates a similar sound to an AC without the cold air. The volume is easily adjustable and perfect for a bedroom or sleeping area. I kept it at a lower volume and it really helped me sleep. I plan to use it for future travel and it's the perfect size to take with me. (I included a photo with my hand for size reference!)

I purchased this product because my upstairs neighbors make a lot of noise and it's hard for me to sleep. I first discovered it when staying with family and found it to be very effective at drowning out the sound of creaking floors and people moving around. After getting one for myself, I've found that it has significantly reduced the noise from upstairs and helped me fall asleep quickly. I can still hear my neighbors, but the white noise from the machine helps me ignore them and focus on sleeping. I've tried white noise apps on my phone, but I think this machine does a better job of filling the room with white noise.

I used to love the sound machine, as it had an actual fan on the inside instead of an artificial sound through a speaker. However, it only lasted 4 months before it began making a very annoying and unsteady sound. I am extremely disappointed because it is no longer usable.

We purchased 4 of these noise makers, unaware of the different models available. All of them have both a high and low option. My 7-year-old daughter complained that hers was too quiet, so we bought this one. However, it ended up being even quieter at its loudest setting and had a rattling sound. We ended up returning it.

item's design flaw hinders its effectiveness

This new model has a major design flaw - its feet vibrate loudly on hard surfaces, causing it to move around and potentially fall off shelves. In comparison, my older model from a different company does not have this issue. I had to place foam padding underneath it to prevent the vibrations. It does seem quieter than my old model and has a similar adjustable dome, but I may end up returning it.

I have become dependent on apps and devices to help me sleep, and I have tried many different sounds to find the perfect one. My current favorite is the airplane sound on my phone, but there are times when I don't want to use my phone overnight. In those cases, this portable sound machine is a good option, although I found most of the white noise sounds to be a little irritating. The melodies were better, but they didn't help me sleep. Overall, I think this is a great sound machine for most people, especially for on-the-go use with a baby. However, if you are very sensitive and picky about sounds, it may not have the variety you're looking for. But considering the price, that's to be expected.

The item is inexpensive but its speaker quality is mediocre and the sounds loop in a noticeable way. However, it is portable for traveling with kids and can be recharged, making it convenient. Overall, the sound quality is disappointing compared to other white noise machines I've used.
