The Riptunes clock I purchased was sold as new but was actually refurbished, with a 30-day warranty card stating it was refurbished. It came with a few scratches and dings, and I ordered a red display but was shipped a green display, which we ended up liking better. It was part of a Mother's Day gift, and I was embarrassed that it was refurbished. It seems to function well, but I would suggest considering buying from another seller that offers new clocks. I was able to set up the clock without reading the instructions, except for the radio during alarm setup. Many people in s had trouble setting up the clock. The clock has an AM/FM radio and a round AUX/IN port on the back. To turn the radio on/off, there is a power button labeled as MODE on the top right. You need to hold it for 1 to 2 seconds to turn on/off the radio and press and release it quickly to switch between AM/FM/AUX. I didn't have to undo the coiled antenna to pick up FM stations, despite living about 30 minutes from the city. The alarm can wake you up with the radio, but I experienced some issues with that. It uses the last radio mode and station you listened to, so I had to set it up each time I wanted to use the radio alarm.

I purchased this clock primarily for its visibility and FM radio functionality, both of which perform satisfactorily. I don't utilize the alarm function. Reception remains consistently good throughout my home.
