We ordered a new clock and it has a very low hum, but it takes some getting used to. Despite that, it works for what we need it for.

Battery Backup fails to activate alarm during power outage

This clock radio has a lot of multifunction buttons and is not very intuitive to use. For example, the alarm settings require multiple button pushes and the battery backup does not activate the alarm during a power outage. I do like the radio and its timer, but overall I am disappointed with the functionality of this model from Riptunes. I will continue to use it until I find a better replacement.

Clock with high quality, unclear buttons

This clock has been reliable in keeping accurate time, but setting alarms, adjusting volume, and switching between AM and FM radio can be confusing and requires some practice. The limited number of buttons makes it more difficult to navigate the settings than it should be.
