The USB capability of this item makes it simple to play and record tapes. The sound quality when connected to a computer is excellent, and I appreciate that there are no wires needed for computer integration. The player itself handles everything, which is convenient.

I was thrilled to find this cassette player because it allows me to listen to my old mix tapes and convert them to digital format. The retro design also brings me a sense of nostalgia from my childhood in the 70s.

I recently used this item to transfer my old band rehearsal and demo tapes to MP3. I simply plugged in a USB drive, played the tapes on the record player, and pressed the record USB button on the top. I made sure it was blinking green by holding the button until it started blinking. The item also has a mic input for recording onto a tape and a USB option for playing tunes. Overall, it's very cool!

The product works as advertised, but the User's Guide instructions for Recording from Tape to USB are incorrect. Step 3 should come before Step 2 - you should press the Play button first and then press the Record button next to the USB port. It seems to only work when the tape leader has passed the play head, so press the Record button several times after pressing the Play button until the Record button light comes on (flashing red).

UPDATE: After using the product for a few days, I am quite satisfied. Converting tape cassettes is routine once you get the button sequence right. MP3 files are saved at 128 kbps, using roughly 1 MB of storage per minute. The sound quality is acceptable, especially considering that my cassette tapes were produced from a variety of sources, including other cassette tapes. Thumbs up!
