I recently purchased a product to help wake up my wife, who is legally deaf. Traditional alarm clocks weren't effective in getting her out of bed, so I decided to try a vibrating alarm clock. This alarm clock has a vibrating puck that goes under the mattress, as well as a loud noise and flashing lights to ensure it wakes up everyone in the house. The alarm is so effective that my wife is up and moving in less than 4 seconds, although mainly to avoid a stampede of big dogs that are also startled by the alarm. However, I recommend testing the alarm with everyone in the house before using it, as the first time it went off it caused panic and confusion, with people thinking it was a fire alarm. Overall, it's a great product but be prepared for the initial shock and confusion it may cause.

As a person who is deaf and has chronic fatigue syndrome, I have struggled with extreme sleepiness and difficulty waking up for my medication. I used to sleep for 20 hours straight and had anxiety about missing my doctors' appointments. I found that the Riptunes Bomb alarm clock with its strong vibration unit worked much better for waking me up than my previous alarm clock. The only minor issues I have with it are the pointy buttons and the slanted jacks on the back. However, the LED lights and the vibration frequency of the Riptunes Bomb have been very effective in waking me up, and I am thankful for this product.

This clock has received mixed reviews, but I was initially worried when I bought my first one about a year ago. The clock has some features that are not mentioned in the description, such as battery back-up, the ability to be set on just noise, vibrate, or both, and flashing red lights to aid waking up. Overall, I highly recommend this clock to heavy sleepers, hard-of-hearing, or even profoundly deaf people. My three alarms are still working great and have been the best alarms we have ever owned.
