The reception is great and I haven't tried the Blue Tooth or CD player yet. It doesn't have a lot of bass, but that's not an issue for me. I was pleasantly surprised by the high-quality sound of this device, especially for the price. I initially purchased it for my 8 year old grandson, but after using it, his mother and I decided to keep it for the whole family because it's so impressive. I really like this item. It is lightweight and small enough to fit anywhere. One thing I didn't like is that it can only manage 999 files on a USB drive, which means I can't listen to all my music. After using this item for about 2 months to play audio from a compact USB thumb drive every night, I can say that it works well and is easy to use once you get used to it. My only real complaint is that it occasionally forgets that it's on repeat, switches itself off, or changes to a different mode, like radio, about once a week. Also, the name Riptunes is not the best for marketing in the West. However, overall, it's a decent option for a tight budget.

This boombox is excellent and surprisingly inexpensive at under $65. It has great sound quality with 6 speakers. I returned it only because it didn't have a cassette deck and sleep timer, which I decided I really wanted. If Riptunes offered a unit with these features and Bluetooth, I would have bought it. If you don't need a tape deck or sleep timer, this well-made boombox is a great buy.

I've been searching for a new portable boom box since my old one stopped working. The new one I found is great and has more features than my old one. It's the updated version and can be used with Bluetooth, which is a big plus. I love that it doesn't require a CD and has multiple ways to playback music. I bought this CD player for my husband who is in a nursing home recovering from an injury. I wanted him to be able to listen to our old CDs and installed brand-new batteries so he wouldn't be restricted to an outlet. He enjoyed the music but a few days later it wouldn't play on battery power. I tested the batteries at home and found they were weak. I returned it and got a new one, but it had the same issue. I plan to bring my battery tester to the nursing home to find out if the CD player is depleting batteries too quickly. If it is, I may have to return it and get a different one.

I purchased this product specifically for my CDs. The radio works well without needing the antenna and it has great sound quality. However, I can only give it 3 stars because when playing music CDs, it pauses at the end of each track before moving on to the next one. This makes it difficult to enjoy continuous or live concert CDs. It seems like this may be a common issue with CD players nowadays, as I had the same problem with a previous purchase. It's a shame because otherwise, it's a nice boombox. I will be returning it.
