I purchased this for my 3-year-old who has a collection of old CDs from her older sister. It's simple for her to use and the sound quality is good. I haven't tested the MP3 hookup, so I can't speak to that. We bought it in August and it's still working just as well as it did on the first day.

The radio is nice and cute, and it's the perfect size for my 1-year-old's room. However, I'm having some issues with the power cord not fitting well and I have to wiggle it at times to get the power light to come on. I also can't seem to find a power button. I haven't been able to test out the CD player yet, but so far the radio reception is good.

I initially bought this item for my dog as a simple radio to provide comforting noise while I was at work. My new CD player is simple and pink, but the picture is a little darker than I expected. My daughter loves it anyways because pink is pink to her. It's easy to use with nice and simple buttons, and I love that it has an FM radio. However, the sound quality is a bit fuzzy, not like a record player but more like the radio dial is slightly off. It can get pretty loud, but the fuzzy sound is disappointing. Also, the radio dial has the station numbers instead of displaying on the front screen, which is a slight bummer but not a big deal. Overall, I'm really happy with the CD player I bought for my 5-year-old.
