The display lighting is a bit dim and shuts off quickly, but overall it's easy to use and the ability to record CDs to a thumb drive is convenient. However, it's disappointing that it can't record from FM to the thumb drive. I also learned that the CD player may stop working after about a year, so I purchased an extended warranty for peace of mind. Although the price was a bit high, I'm hoping it will last at least three years. If it does give out, I'll likely look into purchasing a different mini Hi-Fi system.

The unit's navigation for the music/CDs on the flash drive is not userfriendly and would have been better with a remote, but playing the flash drive is easy enough for my purposes. The CD player works well, as does the radio. The sound quality is decent but not amazing - turning on the Bass boost helps to improve it. If you're looking for high-end sound, this unit isn't it, but it's satisfactory for background music. I'm still figuring out some features, but overall I'm happy with my purchase. I plan to buy the Square Trade extended warranty, as I've noticed that the long-term quality of consumer electronics can be questionable due to planned obsolescence.
