After using this item for about 2 months to play audio from a compact USB thumb drive every night, I can say that it works well and is easy to use once you get used to it. My only real complaint is that it occasionally forgets that it's on repeat, switches itself off, or changes to a different mode, like radio, about once a week. Also, the name Riptunes is not the best for marketing in the West. However, overall, it's a decent option for a tight budget.

The sound quality is good given the price, but I was surprised by the small size. It was a gift and I felt a bit embarrassed. The Bluetooth connectivity is strong and it has some nice features.

The radio was received over the weekend and everything works as expected. The mode indicators are very small and difficult to see, and the radio cannot be used on battery power while the AC cord is plugged in. Other than that, it is a nice portable radio. I purchased an inverter for $13.00 so I could use it on my boat without draining the batteries.
