The alarm functions well, but if the Alarm doesn't work for you (even though it's loud), the vibration disc can be placed under your pillow to wake you up, even from deep sleep.

This alarm clock is perfect for heavy sleepers, including myself and my son. The pod underneath the mattress shakes the bed, making it impossible to sleep through. It can be heard in another room, and not just the alarm sounds but also the vibration. Before using this alarm, I could sleep through anything, but now it always wakes me up. The only downside is that you can only turn the time forward, so when the time changes, you have to go all the way around am/pm to get it right. Other than that, it has a variety of sounds, volume, and light brightness options.

This alarm clock is a game-changer for heavy sleepers like my middle schooler. After struggling to find a solution to his morning grogginess, this alarm has finally done the trick. This alarm is amazing because it is so loud. I don't put the bed shaker under my pillow; instead, I put it in a bucket of metal or on my concrete floors. I love this alarm so much!
